Homemade microwave scented puff paint art

We made this fun Puff paint over Christmas and decorated foam trees, but you had to let the paint sit for several hours to let it dry. So today I tried a new way by adding self-rising flour and placing it in the microwave. "J" got the biggest kick out of what happen when you placed it in the microwave.

No joke we must have made 25 hearts and placed them in the microwave to make the paint puff.

Materials:
Self rising flour 2 cups
Salt 2 cups
Water 2 cups
Kool-aid packet or Frosting Creation packet
Heart lollipops...pack of 8 for $1.00 @ Wal-Mart

This craft is super inexpensive to make. You could make a class of 25 for less than $5.00 and the nice thing about this is it has a personal touch from the kids.

NOTE: Kool-aid works good when mixed with the water first. My favorite was the Frosting Creation cause the smell was so YUMMY!!

How to make:
1.Mix all ingredients in a bowl and stir til all is blended well, no clumps
2. Then pour into the squeeze bottles
3. Once you are done with your art you place in the microwave for 5-10 seconds and take out. You have dried puff paint art.

You can also make it without the scent like Mom's craft space did and they used baking powder along with flour.

"J" was so excited when he took it out of the microwave and saw the paint puffed up.

Thanks for stopping by to see what fun stuff we are doing. Be sure to come follow us on
